US may slap 10-15 pc tariffs on 150 countries

US President Donald Trump has unveiled new details about his sweeping tariff plans, saying he intends to impose levies in the range of 10-15% on imports from over 150 countries. However, he clarified that major trading partners of the United States will not be subjected to this lower tariff bracket. Trump went on to describe these targeted nations as those that are not big countries, and they don’t do that much business. Later the same day, he said that the tariff range is still being finalised. In recent days, Trump has unleashed a barrage of tariff demands, informing countries of new duties that will kick in on August 1 if they cannot negotiate better terms with the US, as per a report.
