Nilabhra Dasgupta assumes charge as Deputy Chairman of Deendayal Port Authority

 

Mr Nilabhra Dasgupta, IRS, has assumed charge as Deputy Chairman, Deendayal Port Authority (DPA) on July 1, 2025.

An Indian Revenue Service Officer of the 2008 batch, he was just prior the Deputy Chairperson of Paradip Port Authority (PPA). During his tenure, Paradip Port emerged as the largest Major Port in India for the first time in its 56 years of existence during FY 2023-24, and retained the top position for the second year running in FY 2024-25.

During his more than 15 years of service, he has handled multiple, important and sensitive positions in a diverse portfolio of assignments covering the areas of Administration, Enforcement, Vigilance, Infrastructure, Corporate and International Taxation. He has significant exposure of working in highly unionised set-ups and people management. He holds deep experience in project management and implementation in the infrastructure space and was also awarded Certificate of Merit for his services in preparing a Litigation Management Software to process litigation data and monitor litigation deadlines. His long tenure in the field of International Taxation, Transfer Pricing and Corporate Assessment has equipped him to work in an ITeS-enabled environment and strict time-sensitive schedules, as per a communique.
