Adani Vizhinjam International Seaport achieves 1 million TEUs throughput
Aug 29, 2025
In under a year, Adani Vizhinjam International Seaport, developed and operated by Adani Ports and SEZ, has crossed the major milestone of handling 1 million TEUs.
This was facilitated by the docking of 460+ ships, including 26 Ultra Large Container Vessels (ULCVs) measuring up to 399.99 metres.
Vizhinjam is thus setting new benchmarks in maritime infrastructure and operational excellence. This achievement is a testament to India’s growing global trade competitiveness and APSEZ’s commitment to building world class logistics gateways, highlighted a communique.
