The AEO-T1 Certificate (Authorized Economic Operator – Tier 1) is a voluntary trade facilitation certification for importers and exporters in India. It recognizes businesses with a proven record of customs compliance and secure supply chain practices, allowing them to benefit from faster custom clearances, reduced intervention and smoother cargo movement. For companies engaged in regular international trade, AEO-T1 acts as a trust badge issued by Indian Customs, helping reduce delays, improve predictability and enhance operational efficiency at ports, airports, ICDs and CFS locations.
