Seafood exports at all-time high in value and volume despite global uncertainties

India’s marine exports are charting new waters even amid global uncertainties. Despite geopolitical disruptions, tariff pressures and volatile trade conditions, the sector has achieved a record Rs 72,325.82 crore ($8.28 billion) in exports in 2025-26.

With 1.93 million tonnes of seafood exported, an all-time high in both value and volume as per Marine Products Export Development Authority (MPEDA), the sector continues to drive export growth while supporting millions of livelihoods across coastal communities, highlighted a communique.
