Minister launches key initiatives to boost maritime sector

Mr Sarbananda Sonowal, Union Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways (MoPSW), in the august presence of Mr Shantanu Thakur, Union MoS - MoPSW, Mr T. K. Ramachandran, Secretary - MoPSW and other officials, on Thursday launched a series of transformative initiatives aimed at boosting India’s maritime sector, emphasised a MoPSW communique.

*Go Live of Sagar Setu

* Launch of Sagarmala Finance Corporation Limited: First NBFC dedicated to maritime sector

* Launch of Drishti Portal

* Release of Standardized Template for Scale of Rates of Major Ports

* Release of “Gateway to Green – Assessing Port Readiness Hydrogen Transition in India” Report

These initiatives mark a bold step towards achieving a globally competitive and future-ready maritime ecosystem, the communique added.
