VOC Port initiates procedure for setting up Green Methanol bunkering and refuelling facility

The kick-off meeting for setting up of a Green Methanol Bunkering and Refuelling facility at VOC Port was held last week with Sopan O&M Company Private Limited and Rina Consulting Pvt. Ltd.

The project is aligned with the establishment of a Coastal Green Shipping Corridor between Kandla and Tuticorin, and positioning VOC Port as a green fuel bunkering port. Funded by MNRE under National Green Hydrogen Mission, the project will aid investor confidence in development of necessary infrastructure including refuelling stations, storage and a distribution network, resulting in the setting up of a Green fuel ecosystem in the shipping sector, as per a release.
