VOC Port handles more containers this fiscal

Earlier this month, V. O. Chidambaranar Port Authority, Tuticorin (VOC Port) achieved a significant operational milestone of handling over 6 lakh TEUs of container traffic during the current financial year 2025-26, registering an impressive YoY growth of 7.93%. This strong performance reflects the port’s enhanced infrastructure, operational efficiency and sustained growth in containerised cargo movement.

This achievement reinforces its position as a key gateway port on the east coast, contributing to trade facilitation, supply chain resilience, and the broader vision of India’s maritime and logistics development, emphasised a communique.
