VOC Port handles 80 pc more limestone in Q1

 

During the first quarter of this financial year 2025-26, V. O. Chidambaranar Port (VOC Port) handled 4,93,086 tonnes of limestone, reflecting a robust growth of 80.20% compared to the 2,73,629 tonnes handled in the same quarter of the previous financial year 2024-25.

This remarkable growth underscores the port’s enhanced handling efficiency and its pivotal role in supporting raw material imports for the construction and manufacturing sectors, emphasised a release.
