Toyota Kirloskar Motor renews agreement with Kamarajar Port for use of RoRo Terminal

Aug 8, 2025

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM), one of India’s major automobile manufacturers, has signed a renewal agreement with Kamarajar Port (KPL) to use the RoRo Terminal (general cargo berth) at KPL for another 10 years, from April 1, 2025 to March 31, 2035, for the export and import of automobiles at concessional wharfage rate.

Since commencing exports in April 2012, TKM has been utilising Kamarajar Port as its core logistics hub for international despatches. Starting with the export of 247 units of the Toyota Etios series to South Africa, the company has steadily expanded its global reach with the support of KPL’s robust port infrastructure. Over the years, this collaboration has enabled TKM to deliver high-quality vehicles to a growing number of international markets, highlighted a release.
