Tea exports from India rise by 9.92% at 254.67 million kg in CY2024

Kolkata: India's tea exports surged by 9.92% in 2024, reaching 254.67 million kg from January to December, compared to 231.69 million kg in the previous year, according to the latest Tea Board data.
In north India, tea production in 2024 rose to 154.81 million kg, up 9.79% from 141 million kg in 2023. South India also saw a significant increase, with production climbing 10.11% to 99.86 million kg in 2024, compared to 90.69 million kg in the previous year.
