T. Venu Gopal takes charge as Deputy Chairperson, Paradip Port Authority

Mr T. Venu Gopal, former Secretary of Visakhapatnam Port Authority (VPA), has taken over as the Deputy Chairperson of Paradip Port Authority (PPA). Starting his career at Visakhapatnam Port in 1995, he has held key roles across departments and served as Secretary at Deendayal and Visakhapatnam ports. During his tenure at VPA, he played a pivotal role in organising major events such as BIMSTEC, Indian Maritime Conclaves, the inauguration of the International Cruise Terminal, and the arrival of international cruise vessels. He also successfully implemented several flagship programmes of the Government of India, including Swachh Bharat, IGoT, skill development, healthcare and education initiatives, as per a report.
