Swiss part of EFTA deal to be implemented by October: Piyush Goyal

Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal announced on Wednesday that the trade agreement with the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) is progressing, with Switzerland expected to implement its part of the deal by October 2025. Speaking to ANI during a two-day visit to Switzerland, Goyal noted that Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway have already ratified the agreement. He added that Switzerland’s ratification process is anticipated to take approximately two and a half months, paving the way for full implementation in October.
