Suez Canal announces increase in surcharges

The Suez Canal Authority has announced that surcharges levied on vessels transiting the Canal will increase from July 15, 2026.

According to the Authority, this applies to: Tankers (Crude Oil); Tankers (Petroleum Products); Dry Bulk Carriers; LPG Carriers; LNG Carriers; Chemical & Other Liquid Bulk Carriers; Container Ships; General Cargo Ships; Multi-Purpose Ships; Heavy Lift Ships; General Cargo Heavy Lift Ships; Multi-Purpose/Heavy Lift Ships; Ro/Ro Ships; Vehicle Carriers; Special Floating Units; Other vessels.
The current surcharges have been applicable since April 2023.
