S. Viswanathan given additional charge as Chairperson of Chennai Port Authority

The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways has entrusted Mr S. Viswanathan, Deputy Chairperson of Chennai Port Authority, with the additional charge of Chairperson, Chennai Port Authority, with effect from December 1, 2025 for a period of six months or till a new Chairperson is appointed or until further orders, whichever is the earliest, as per an official communique.

He succeeds Mr Sunil Paliwal, IAS, who has been appointed as Chairperson of Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI).
