Priority berthing for fertilizer vessels

India’s Major Ports have been instructed to give priority berthing to vessels carrying finished fertilizers, raw materials, and intermediates intended for fertilizer production.
Ports have been further directed to ensure expedited discharge operations and to take all necessary measures to minimise port dwell time, thereby facilitating timely delivery of critical agricultural inputs, as per a communique.
