Nhava Sheva Distribution Terminal strengthens berth to enhance its berthing capability

The strengthening work of the Shallow Water Berth of J M Baxi Group’s Nhava Sheva Distribution Terminal, at JN Port, has been successfully completed.
The facility is now equipped and strengthened to accommodate vessels up to 45,000 MT displacement from the earlier permitted displacement of 32,500 MT, and is currently permitting vessels up to a maximum Length Overall of 197.00 metres.
The terminal now offers enhanced safety with upgraded new fenders and advanced berthing aids. Other berthing parameters continue to remain the same, informed a communique.
