Highlights of FY 2025-2026

JNPA handled 19,50,188 TEUs of containers and 24.20 million tonnes of total cargo from April 2025 to June 2025, higher by 15.52% and 10%, respectively, as compared to the corresponding period in the previous financial year.

JNPA handled 1,764 container rakes and 284,102 TEUs during the period, as compared to 1,534 rakes and 243,309 TEUs during the corresponding three months in the previous financial year.

JNPA’s steady momentum in container handling is driven by efficient terminal operations. As capacity utilisation improves and support services align with demand, the port is well-positioned to achieve higher throughput in the coming months, emphasised a communique.

JNPA currently has five container terminals - NSFT, NSICT, NSIGT, BMCT and APMT. The port also has a Shallow Water Berth for general cargo. Its Liquid Cargo Terminal is managed by the BPCL-IOCL consortium, with the additional liquid cargo terminal to be operated by JSW-JNPA Liquid Terminal Pvt. Ltd.

Additionally, the newly constructed coastal berth links other Indian ports and facilitates increased handling of coastal containers.

Nestled across 277

hectares of land, JNPA also operates a meticulously designed multi-product SEZ, with state-of-the-art infrastructure, to boost export-oriented industries in India.

It is also developing an all-weather, deep-draft, greenfield port at Vadhvan, Maharashtra, India’s 13th Major Port, which is poised to be among the top 10 ports globally and will be a 100% green port since inception.
