JN Port handles over 14 pc more container traffic in May yoy

May 2026 was another strong month for Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA), with the port handling 1.52 million TEUs and 19.17 million tonnes of cargo.

Compared to May of the previous financial year, container traffic grew by 14.36% and total cargo by 15.19%, reflecting the port’s growing momentum and operational efficiency.

JN Port thus continues to drive trade, deliver growth and strengthen India’s maritime future, emphasised a communique.
