India's largest logistics hub coming up in Dadri seen as the future of freight movement in North India

May 23, 2025

The upcoming Multi-Modal Logistics Hub (MMLH) at Dadri, Greater Noida, with a project cost of Rs 2,464 crore (phase 1) is set to emerge as a transformative gateway for freight movement in North India, as per a communique by Mr Rajat Kumar Saini, CEO and MD, National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation (NICDC).  Strategically located at the junction of the Eastern and Western Dedicated Freight Corridors (EDFC &   WDFC), the facility is directly linked to NH-34, the Eastern Peripheral Expressway, and the upcoming Jewar International Airport, enabling seamless multi-modal connectivity and logistics.

Spread across 825 acres, the MMLH will offer world class infrastructure including container handling, warehousing (bonded and general), cold chain facilities, Customs clearance, and value-added services like packaging, de-stuffing/stuffing and processing. With integrated rail connectivity from New Dadri station (DFC), internal rail yards, wide road networks and truck parking bays, the hub will streamline logistics operations across the region. This ambitious project is a key pillar of India’s vision to reduce logistics costs, enhance supply chain efficiency and accelerate industrial growth under the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan, the communique highlighted.
