Haldia Container Terminal achieves record monthly container throughput

J M Baxi Group’s Haldia Container Terminal (HICT), at Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port, Kolkata, attained an exciting milestone in December 2025, recording its highest-ever monthly container throughput of 22,654 TEU, surpassing the previous record of 21,691 TEU set in November 2025.

This achievement reflects the growing trust and confidence of shipping lines, cargo owners and all of the terminal’s valued stakeholders. It is a testament to the dedication, teamwork and operational excellence of everyone involved, emphasised a communique.

“We would also like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port, Kolkata for their continuous support, collaboration and guidance, which has been instrumental in achieving this milestone,” the statement added.
