Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya to expand into marine, port sectors, says Minister

 

Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya, based in Vadodara and long known for its expertise in railway, aviation and highway logistics, is expanding its academic horizon to include the marine and port sectors, announced Union Railway Minister and Chancellor Mr Ashwini Vaishnaw during the university’s convocation ceremony. This strategic expansion is expected to align with India’s growing emphasis on coastal infrastructure and maritime trade, creating new opportunities for research, education and workforce development in these vital industries, said a report.
