End of de minimis exemption wreaks havoc on US consumers
Sep 12, 2025
The end of the de minimis exemption is wreaking havoc on US consumers, small businesses and major carriers. The bills are sudden and jarring, like $1,400 for a computer part from Germany, $620 for an aluminium case from Sweden and $1,041 for handbags from Spain, as per reports.
