Double banking guideline for edible oil tanker vessels calling at Krishnapatnam Port

 

All edible oil tanker vessels calling at Krishnapatnam Port are required to be ready for discharging the cargo while double banked with another edible oil tanker or dry cargo vessel alongside the berth, as and when the port is required to achieve productivity and reduce the turnaround time of vessels.

If a vessel refuses to berth on double banking or does not permit other vessel to berth alongside, as and when the port requires, the port reserves the right to collect productivity loss of $2,000 from the vessel. Additionally, the vessel will lose her seniority and junior vessel will be given opportunity to berth at double banking, as per a recent Adani Krishnapatnam Port Limited Circular.
