DFCCIL launches Joint Parcel Product – Rapid Cargo Service (JPP-RCS)

The Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL) has launched the Joint Parcel Product – Rapid Cargo Service (JPP-RCS) on the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor.

This scheduled, reliable and end-to-end rail-based parcel service is a significant step towards strengthening India’s time-sensitive freight and logistics ecosystem. Connecting New Dadri – New Motidau – New Ancheli with daily services, JPP-RCS will provide an efficient rail-based transportation solution for e-commerce, FMCG, retail cargo, courier and logistics aggregators, transporters and bulk parcel customers.

By expanding the use of dedicated freight infrastructure for parcel movement, JPP-RCS has the potential to improve supply chain efficiency, reduce logistics costs and promote a more sustainable modal shift towards rail.

Such initiatives will play an important role in transforming Indian Railways into a faster, more efficient and customer-focused freight transportation system, supporting the nation’s journey towards Viksit Bharat, the Chamber of Railway Industries said in a communique.
