CONCOR launches direct export shipments from Chennai to Jebel Ali

Aug 7, 2025

Connecting India to global markets

Container Corporation of India Ltd (CONCOR) has announced what it describes as a major milestone in its global connectivity drive. For the first time, export shipments in CONCOR-owned containers have successfully departed from Chennai Port to Jebel Ali, UAE – opening a new trade lane between India and the Middle East.

On August 1, 2025, four TEUs of export cargo were loaded aboard MV Whutthi Bhum, marking the official launch of this new international logistics corridor. This service enables CONCOR to offer end-to-end export logistics solutions, connecting Chennai with key ports in the Middle East and Far East Asia, including China. The shipment was booked by MSA Shipping Pvt. Ltd.

With the launch of this dir: ct export route, CONCOR is not only expanding its footprint but also making global trade simpler, smarter, and more seamless for Indian businesses.

With this strategic expansion, CONCOR reinforces its position as a trusted partner for global logistics – combining Indian strength with global reach to empower shippers across the country, it emphasised in a communique.
