CONCOR deploys its own tank containers for bulk cement

The Container Corporation of India (CONCOR) has announced the commencement of bulk cement loading through its owned tank containers at the UltraTech siding in Sedam, Karnataka for movement to DRTA, Dronagiri.

This initiative is another step towards building a more sustainable and efficient logistics ecosystem. By leveraging rail-based containerised transportation for bulk cement, CONCOR can significantly reduce road congestion, lower carbon emissions, minimise product losses during transit and improve overall supply chain efficiency.

The deployment of specialised tank containers not only enhances operational reliability but also supports the industry’s broader commitment to greener logistics and responsible resource utilisation, highlighted a communique.
