India’s coffee exports for the calendar 2025 are set to cross the $2 billion mark in value terms, more than doubling in the past five years due to an increase in global prices over supply issues. Based on the permits issued by the Coffee Board, the shipments till December 16 this calendar year stood at $1,968 million, an increase of 21% over the corresponding last year’s $1,630 million. In rupee value terms, the shipments have registered an increase of 26% during the current calendar year till date at `17,106 crore over the corresponding previous year’s `13,624 crore. In the current financial year, the shipments from April 1 to December 16 were up to $1,420 million over the corresponding previous year’s $1,223 million. Global prices have more than doubled in recent years on supply concerns in top producers Brazil and Vietnam, as per a report.
