The Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC) recently organised an illuminating trade meet with the Customs House Agents (CHA) Association, marking a significant leap forward for the logistics landscape at ICD Loni. The event, held on December 8, 2025, was a convergence of industry leaders, with the CHA Association chaired by Mr Devinder Bhadhauria and ably led by Vice President Mr Jogesh Sethi. The distinguished delegation included Mr Rajesh Kumar Sharma, Joint Secretary, Ms Anita Juneja, Management Committee Member, and other key members, symbolising a unified commitment to propel India’s EXIM trade.

Leading the CWC team was Commander Pawan Kumar, Regional Manager, Delhi & Uttarakhand, who delivered a comprehensive briefing that underscored ICD Loni’s natural leverage for trade. The facility boasts cutting-edge physical infrastructure, robust IT and automation tools, and operational efficiency that drastically minimises turnaround times. With documented service level agreements (SLAs), competitive tariffs and steadfast dedication to timely service, ICD Loni stands as a beacon of opportunity for stakeholders seeking effortless business growth.

Setting itself apart, ICD Loni offers a suite of value-added facilities including free shuttle services, complimentary office space, and refreshments for CHA and Consolidator/Freight Forwarder officials. Attendees were introduced to the attractive ‘VDS’ schemes and the flexible ‘Built to Suit’ business proposals, tailored to meet the bespoke requirements of trade partners. Commander Kumar reaffirmed CWC management’s unwavering commitment to provide an unparalleled value proposition, fostering the growth of EXIM and driving down logistics costs nationwide.

The meet witnessed the active participation of Mr Deepak Rai, Assistant Commissioner, ICD Loni, alongside the Customs staff. Their presence and assurances of wholehearted support to the trade were a testament to Customs’ role in fostering additional revenue and promoting the interests of both EXIM stakeholders and the national exchequer.

The CHA Association extended strong appreciation for the trade-friendly environment at ICD Loni, emphasising unique operational advantages like substantially reduced turnaround times for container movement from gateway ports. Members lauded the terminal’s smooth, congestion-free operations, which not only accelerate processing but also enhance the overall user experience.

This strategic interaction highlighted ICD Loni’s emergence as a premier hub for EXIM trade—redefining reliability, efficiency and stakeholder confidence. The visit reinforced ICD Loni’s growing significance in India’s logistics and supply chain ecosystem, promising a brighter and more prosperous future for all involved in the movement of goods across borders, emphasised a communique.
