The White House has taken a serious view and firm stance against India’s tariffs on American agricultural products, calling them a major barrier to trade. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said on Monday that India imposes 100% tariff on USA farm goods, making exports “virtually impossible.” United States President, Mr Donald Trump has repeatedly criticised India’s trade policies and is set to introduce reciprocal tariffs wef 02 April, which he has dubbed "Liberation Day" for the USA economy.
